Camping trip to the Lake District

This week we headed to The Lake District for a 5 day camping trip. We set off with a campsite in mind but ended up staying at Ullswater Holiday Park in Watermillock just at the side of Ullswater. It was in a beautiful location overlooking the Lake Ullswater and Mountains. We pitched up on one of the more quieter fields and we where the only ones there!! We had the whole field to ourselves which was great for the dogs with amazing views!!

The campsite was lovely! It was well maintained, very clean facilities and had a range of onsite amenities at your disposal, such as a general shop, fish & chip shop & bar. As we was staying in a more quieter area of the site it was like we was totally alone, which was exactly what we was looking for but we had all the facilitates the site had to offer just a short walk away if we wanted to use them.

The campsite had a range of nearby walks and some directly leading from the campsite which was great! We did a few walks around the area including Aira Force Waterfalls. We also had a drive to Coniston to visit ‘Hodge Close’ (A former slate mine) which was amazing!

We had a great time and will definitely be returning!!
